NOAA Chart #14835 Erie Harbor, Lake Erie
The Port of Erie is entered by a 2.4 mile channel dredged to a depth of 8.2m and marked by outer and inner range lighted beacons with red and green spars.
Latitude 420 09.4'N
Longitude 800 04.3' W

The Lighthouse of Presque Isle and tall stacks of the city are easily identifiable from off-shore.  The lighted range guides you on a southwest course to the Piers that mark the entrance to Erie and Presque Isle Bay, at the east end of the peninsula.

Transient boaters are welcome at
Moorings at Wolverine Park , a Boat/US cooperating marina with floating docks, water and electrical hookups, pump out station, laundromat, private showers, restrooms and ships store.  This new facility will take boats up to 100 feet in length for up to two weeks at
a time. Transient dockage and/or related boating services also are available at Erie Angler Marine, Gem City Marina,
Cherry Street Marina, and Bay Harbor Marina.

Anchor Marine, east Dobbins Landing, is one of the oldest pleasure boat facilities on Lake Erie.  Services range from transient dockage to major hull and engine repairs are available.

Because
Presque Isle is a state park, boats are allowed to dock or anchor only in specified locations. Presque Isle State Park offers transient dockage, fuel and some marine services.  The large cove immediately north of the marina is a designated anchorage.  Caution is advised because depth can be a problem. Otherwise, this anchorage is protected from all directions.

Misery Bay is a small inlet at the far northeastern end of larger Presque Isle Bay. It is shallow but can be sued as an anchorage. On the tip of a small land spit you'll find Perry's Monument and history markers, which detail the Commodore's victory during the Battle of Lake Erie and other local history.  A wall along the north edge of this spit is suitable for short term tie-ups of shoal-draft boats.

Erie has three private yacht clubs that offer reciprocal dockage:
Commodore Perry Yacht Club , Erie Yacht Club, and the Presque Isle Yacht Club.

Transient dockage is not available at
Lampe Marina, or Perry'sLanding Marina
